The HURD 500 is a wonderful solution for multiple locations on any hunting area. This feeder can be moved in with your ATV to any location not normally accessible with conventional vehicles. The 500 holds 10 fifty-pound bags, which can be transported on your ATV, then filled from the ground. This unit is also ideal for the home deer watcher. You can feed your deer and watch them through a window as you sit in your easy chair.

The 500 feeder is constructed of 20 gauge galvanized metal. It is 47 inches wide by 23 inches deep and stands 27 1/4 inches tall without the stand. The primed steel stand, when assembled, is 36 1/2 inches high. The 500 feeder has a recessed bottom to receive the stand. When the 500 is installed on the stand, the total height is 63 inches and is easily filled from the ground. The 500 is also easily transported to your remote site, on the back of a four wheeler. Both the 500 and 1250 feeders deliver feed at approximately 37 inches above the ground. The feed therefore is unavailable to most varmints and hogs. The 6 feed ports assure ample opportunity for all of your deer. All feeders are furnished with 4 - 24 inch stakes which are driven through the hole in the plate on the bottom of each leg.

Although our feeders were developed to feed protein pellets, they will feed multiple feeds from corn to 3/8 inch cubes. We prefer 1/4 inch 20% protein creep feed, available at your local feed store. The creep feed is cheaper and will help improve the quality of your deer. Although you probably already know, I feel it my duty to inform you that corn is only 6% protein.
